Erpenbach, William John ‘Bill’ (10 April 1955 - 15 September 2014)
William J. ‘Bill’ Erpenbach, age 59, of Cheyenne, WY, died Monday, Sept. 15,
2014, at Cheyenne Memorial Medical Center from health and surgical
complications.
William John Erpenbach was born April 10, 1955, in Neillsville, the son of
William P. and Cecelia (Fitzsimmons) Erpenbach. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic
School in Neillsville and was a 1973 graduate of Neillsville High School.
Throughout the years, Bill was employed as a brick mason in Wisconsin, Texas and
Wyoming; worked for the Cheyenne Fire Department for more than 20 years; and was
a semi-truck driver. He will be remembered by his friends and family for his
nicknames, his deer hunting and driving adventures, surprising everyone with his
unexpected phone calls or visits back to Wisconsin, his wonderful laugh, his
kind heart and all the stories he liked to tell and that everyone liked to tell
about him.
He is lovingly survived by his father, William, of Neillsville; a sister, Sylvia
(John) Skallerup, of Muskegon, MI; and three brothers, Paul (Natalie) Erpenbach
of Neillsville, James Erpenbach, and John (Mary) Erpenbach, both of DeForest. He
is further survived by one nephew, James R. Skallerup of Cincinnati, OH; six
nieces, Ann Skallerup, Chicago, IL, Erin (Jon) (Skallerup) Balazs, Houston, TX,
Denise Erpenbach, Bellingham, WA, Holly Erpenbach, Neillsville, and Emily and
Ashlyn Erpenbach of DeForest; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
William is preceded in death by his mother Cecelia Erpenbach in March 2012;
paternal grandparents Anton ‘Tony’ and Margaret (Yndogliato) Erpenbach; maternal
grandparents John and Ellen (Seichter) Fitzsimmons; and several aunts and
uncles.
The family will hold a memorial and graveside burial service for William at a
later date in the near future.
The Wiederspahn-Radmosky Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home of Cheyenne, WY,
assisted the family with the funeral arrangements.
