Sarna, Joseph (31 DEC 1895 – 17 APR 1967)
Joseph Sarna, route 2 (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), died April 17th, 1967 in St.
Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, at 1 p.m.
Mr. Sarna was born Dec. 31, 1895 in Krakow, Poland. He came to the United States
in 1905 and settled in Chicago. He was married to Anna Trzos at Chicago on May
23, 1909, and they lived there until 1919, when they moved to a farm near
Stanley. He resided there until July 1965, when he went to the Gilman Nursing
Home, transferring to the Chippewa Manor on Sept. 1, 1966.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Frank Burzynski, Stanley, one sister, Maryanna
Dyrcz, Krakow, Poland; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church at
Lublin Thursday morning at 10 a.m., the Rev. Mathew Buba officiating. Burial was
in the church cemetery.
