Konwinski, Peter (20 APR 1889 – 5 MAY 1967)
Peter Konwinski, 78, of 231 E. First Ave, Stanley, died Friday night.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in
Stanley, the Rev. Edmund Cramer officiating. Burialw as in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Born in Nebraska April 20, 1889, he married Veronica Banarck, Sept. 30, 1913.
The couple farmed at Fullerton, Neb. Before moving to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.),
where they farmed for 39 years. Mr. and Mrs. Konwinski retired in 1960 and moved
to Stanley.
Surviving are his wife; four sons, Raymond and Edward, Chippewa Falls, Chester,
Necedah; and Virgil, Withee; four daughters, Mrs. Francis Koepl and Mrs. Harlyn
Dircks, both of Stanley; and Mrs. Charles Gasda, Chicago, and Mrs. John
Holewinski, Thorp; six brothers, Thomas, John, Henry and Joseph, Silver Creek,
Neb., and Frank and Stanley, Columbus, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Kurek and
Miss Stella, both of Silver Creek, Neb.; and 29 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren.
