Einar A. Behrents, route 1, Abbotsford, died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 10, at
10:45 a.m. at the Colby Clinic. He was 62 years old.
The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home at Abbotsford until noon
Tuesday when it was taken to Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, where the Rev.
F. H. Sprengler conducted services at 2’ o’clock.
Mr. Behrents was an elder of Christ Lutheran church.
The pallbearers were John Busse, Marvin Busse, H. J. Amacher, Ronald Graffunder,
William Herrmann, and Walter Kuenzi.
On Wednesday morning at 11:30, the Rev. William Simpson of Argyle officiated at
graveside services at East Wyota cemetery where burial was made.
Einar A. Behrents was born June 3, 1904, in Norway. In 1915 he came to America
with his parents and lived in Minnesota. He received his primary education in
schools in Norway and Minnesota.
On Dec. 19, 1929, he and Miss Esther Anderson were united in marriage at
Woodford, Wis. They lived in Menomonie and for 21 years at Richmond, Ill. In
1952 they came to Abbotsford and purchased the Wilhelmi farm on highway 13
north.
Surviving him are his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Solberg of
Ferryville, Wis., Mrs. Robert E. (Phyllis) Johnson of Eau Claire and Mrs. Joseph
(Joyce) Pearson of Warrens, Wis. There are six grand children.
He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. G. H. Behrents, of Menomonie, one
brother, and six sisters: Norman Behrents and Mrs. Odin Thorud of Menomonie,
Mrs. Lauritz Espelana and Mrs. Ted Oelchno of Chicago, Mrs. Thomas Hall of
Milwaukee, Mrs. Willis Kistner of Oshkosh and Mrs. Arne Hovind of St. Paul.
