Funeral services for Roy G. Lueschow, 56, Colby, will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 15, at Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. David Pankow will
officiate and burial will be in Colby Memorial cemetery. Mr. Lueschow died
Monday, Dec. 12, at the Veterans hospital, Madison.
Roy Lueschow was born July 25, 1910, in Marathon county, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Otto Lueschow. He received his education at Edgar public schools and a Milwaukee
technical school. He entered the navy in 1942, serving as a chief machinist’s
mate until his discharge in 1945. His marriage to Arlene Salsieder took place
Dec. 9, 1940. The couple lived in Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, and Abbotsford,
moving to the Cherokee area in rural Colby in 1954. He was a member of the
Refrigerator Service Engineers society and the Abbotsford VFW, Post 865, of
which he was a past commander.
Surviving are his wife, Arlene; one son, Capt. Roger J. Lueschow, stationed with
the air force at Wake Island, South Pacific; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Amy)
Speers, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; his mother, Mrs. Otto Lueschow, Edgar; four brothers,
William of Verona, Otto of Wisconsin Rapids, Donald of Edgar, and Lyle of Ft.
Atkinson, and four grand children.
