Funeral services for Edward C. Pascoe, Abbotsford, who died on Wednesday, December 21, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the First Presbyterian church at Abbotsford. The Rev. Charles E. Glidden conducted the services during which Mrs. Elmer Jensen sang “The Old Rugged Cross” with Miss Ann Lenz as accompanist and organist.

Interment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery. The pallbearers were Robert Bogaard, Lowell Dorn, Arvin Kramer, Morris Mantor, Ben Merwin and Howard Merwin.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home at Abbotsford from Thursday evening until noon on Friday when it was taken to the church.

Mr. Pascoe was born September 11, 1883, in England and came to the United States in 1894. He lived for a time in Michigan, Wyoming and Colorado. He was a medical technician and for 19 years worked for the railroad company in Wyoming. He also worked as a YMCA secretary.

He and Miss Frances Brown were married at Trinidad, Colo., May 25, 1923. They lived in the Withee area a few years prior to coming to Abbotsford in 1936 when Mr. Pascoe was employed by the county. Later he worked for the village of Abbotsford and then for Northland Henneries and the Abbotsford Produce until his retirement.

After falling last August on a street in Marshfield, Mr. Pascoe was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield and later to Bethel Home at Arpin. He was admitted to the hospital on December 17 and death occurred there at 11:10 p.m. on Dec. 21.

He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Miles (Darlene) Galiger of Phillips and one step-daughter, Mrs. Beverly Hansen of the Chicago area. There are two grand children. One sister, Mrs. Lillian Calles, of California also survives.

He was preceded in death by three children, two brothers and a sister.

Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Miles Galiger and Bob and Patti, Phillips, Mrs. Elsie Kocher of Cadott and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wollum of Owen.
