------ Frane, Patricia (26 NOV 1966)
Now at home at 414 ½ Lynn St., Horicon, Wis., are the new Mr. and Mrs. Wayne
Flick, after a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin.
The wedding of Miss Patricia Frane and Wayne Flick took place Saturday, Nov. 26,
at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Abbotsford.
The Rev. Emil Hodnik officiated at the 12:30 o’clock nuptial high mass during
which marriage vows were repeated by the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kalepp of
Abbotsford and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Flick of Colby.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her step-father was attired in a floor
length gown. The Chantilly lace bodice had a scalloped round neckline. A small
bow detailed the empire waist line on the A-line skirt of peau de soie which had
an overskirt train edged in lace. A bouffant illusion veil was secured to a
crown of pearls and aurora borealis crystals. She carried a bouquet of red
Better Time roses and white pompons
Mr. and Mrs. Clement Apfelbeck, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, were the
honor attendants. Mrs. Melvin Schneider, another sister, Miss Priscilla Flick,
sister of the groom, Charles E. Flick, a brother of the groom, and Ronald Frane,
a brother of the bride, completed the wedding party.
Moss green floor length formals were chosen for the bride’s attendants. The
frocks were designed with velvet bodices with bateau neckline. The sheath skirts
of acetate faille were accented at the empire waistlines with satin and had
satin Watteau panels with bow trim. They wore matching green crown pillboxes
with bow trim and pouf veils. Gold and white pompons were combined in a cascade
arrangement for the matron of honor and yellow and white pompons for the
bridesmaids.
Glen Frane, brother of the bride, and Art Remus, brother-in-law of the groom,
seated the guests at the church who came from Colby, Abbotsford, Athens, Wausau,
Mayville, Horicon, Owen, Dorchester, Milan, Slinger, Elkhorn, Milwaukee, Edgar,
Wisconsin Rapids, Unity, West Bend, Dubuque, Ia., Park Ridge, Ill., Cyrene and
Bowling Green Mo.
Festivities of the wedding day included a reception, following the ceremony at
the Abbotsford city hall, dinner at 4:30 o’clock at the church hall and dancing
in the evening at Sportsmen’s Park, Colby.
Both the bride and groom are employed at Mayville Metal Products where the new
Mrs. Flick is employed in the factory and her husband is an arc welder.
