------ Kloth, Herman Ernst (31 DEC 1887 – 27 NOV 1966)
Herman Ernst Kloth, route 1, Abbotsford, died at St. Joseph’s hospital,
Marshfield, Sunday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at the age of 78 years.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran church,
Abbotsford, where the body was taken at noon from the Polnaszek Funeral Home,
Abbotsford.
The Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the services at the church after which
interment was made in the Medford cemetery. Grand sons served as pallbearers.
Mr. Kloth was born Dec. 31, 1887, at Arlington Heights, Ill. He came to
Wisconsin in 1910 and on August 8, 1915, he was married to Elsie Frishmann in
Marathon county.
After their marriage they farmed in the Medford and Abbotsford areas.
In 1965 the Kloths celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran church at Abbotsford.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Eugene Kloth, of Schofield and four
daughters, Mrs. Walter (Blondina) Bucki and Mrs. Ray (Jean) Steen, both of
Medford, Mrs. Richard (Verna) Schmidt of Dorchester and Mrs. Frank (Esther)
Umlauft of Stetsonville. There are 19 grand children and eight great grand
children.
He also leaves three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Emma Greinke of Mt.
Prospect, Ill., Mrs. Ernest (Ella) Nolte of Woodstock, Ill., Mrs. Amanda Heinz
of Rib Lake, Henry Kloth of Wausau and John Kloth of Brokaw.
Besides his parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
