Mrs. Julia Ann Diethman, 86, died after a long illness at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov.
27, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ivar Soderbeck,
Abbotsford.
The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home where services were
conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. James Hagen of the Methodist
church was the officiating clergyman.
The pallbearers were Edward Diethman, Kenneth Diethman, Kurt Garebracht, Neil
Luepke, Robert Stuart and Nedry Sterling.
Burial was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery.
The former Julia Ann Rowene Rohrbacher was born December 23, 1879, in the town
of Holland, Sheboygan county, and was educated in area schools. On October 22,
1902, she and Edward Diethman were united in marriage in the town of Unity. They
farmed there until 1946 when they retired and moved to Riplinger. In 1962 they
came to Abbotsford to make their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. Ivar Soderbeck.
She was a member of the Methodist ~~ incomplete ~~
