------ Hopperdietzel, Mary Lou (26 DEC 1966)
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dorn are now at home at 413 North First St., Abbotsford.
The marriage of Miss Mary Lou Hopperdietzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Hopperdietzel, and Robert A. Dorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Dorn, all of
Abbotsford, took place at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Abbotsford, Monday,
December 26.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. The double ring ceremony was
performed during a nuptial high mass sung at 4:30 in the afternoon by the Rev.
Emil Hodnik.
For her wedding the bride chose a semi-fitted sleeveless street length dress of
red brocade with a long sleeved white lace overdress. She wore a triangular lace
veil and carried a long stemmed read rose.
Attending the couple were Miss Barbara Merkel of Madison and David Nikolay of
Abbotsford, friends of the couple.
John Hopperdietzel and James Nikolay performed the ushering duties.
The maid of honor was attired in a red velvet dress with empire waist and long
sleeves with silver trim and had a corsage of white mums. Her headpiece was a
white lace chapel veil.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Dorn greeted their guests at a reception at the Abbotsford
city hall.
About 70 guests were in attendance from Athens, Madison, Wauwatosa, Wausau, Fond
du Lac, Neillsville, Marshfield, Abbotsford and Evanston Ill.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Abbotsford high school. The groom
also attended St. Thomas college at St. Paul and is presently employed at Dorn
Furniture and the Northwest Credit Corp. Mrs. Dorn also attended Wisconsin state
university, Oshkosh, and is employed at Walt’s Skogmo in Abbotsford.
