Mrs. Cloa Dorothea Hutt, 83, of Abbotsford, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, January 10, at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville, where she was a resident since July 2, 1966.

The body lay in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, until noon Thursday when it was taken to the First Presbyterian church where services were conducted at 2 o’clock by the Rev. Charles E. Glidden. Interment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mrs. Hutt, the former Cloa Dorothea Conaway, was born December 25, 1883, at Victory, Wis., and received her education in Vernon county schools. Her marriage to John A. Hutt took place at Neillsville August 6, 1906. They lived in Chili until 1915 and then moved to New Auburn where they managed the Ferndale Rod and Gun Club Resort. In 1917 they came to Abbotsford and operated the Coffee Shop and bus depot until their retirement in 1945.

Mr. Hutt died March 16, 1960.

Mrs. Hutt was a member of the Presbyterian church, the United Presbyterian Women’s association, the Royal Neighbors and the Abbotsford Women’s Club.

She is survived by one son, Maurice Hutt, and one daughter, Mrs. Ben (Florence) Laabs, both of Abbotsford. There are four grand children and four great grand children.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son and one brother and one sister.
