------ Denzin, Jane Marie (28 MAR 1949 – 24 DEC 1966)
Jane Marie Denzin, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Denzin of Laramie, Wyo.,
and grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Armin Barts of rural Abbotsford, was one of
three persons fatally injured in a high speed crash at Laramie, Wyo., December
24, at 1:55 p.m.
Jane Marie Denzin and Susan Fluty, both 17, and high school seniors, and Don
Wilson 28, owner of Scottie’s Drive-in, were killed in the crash. Frank Burke,
23, owner of the automobile and the employee of the Drive-in, was in critical
condition.
Funeral services for Miss Denzin were held at Zion Lutheran church at Laramie on
Wednesday, December 28, at 2 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Armin Barts, son, Raymond, accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Ruby
Thieme, and son, Terry, of Jefferson attended the funeral and returned home
Saturday.
Miss Denzin was born March 28, 1949, at Wausau, Wis. Besides her parents, she is
survived by a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Braister, a brother, Randy, and her grand
mother, Mrs. Irene Denzin, all of Laramie, and grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Armin
Barts of Abbotsford.
Also attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Merritt, a maternal aunt,
and daughter, Judy, of Stratton, Colo.
