Visitors at the Hazel Huls home on Mother's Day were, Mrs. John Paff and children, Mr. and Mrs. William Jacques and Kim, Mrs. Eunice Jacques and Mrs. Roy Paff of East Lansing, Mich.

Mrs. Virgil Phillips of Houston, Texas is staying at the home of her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smigaj.

Mr. Don Van Loo and Mrs. Bob Birdash of St. Paul visited Mrs. Kate Van Loo over the weekend and did s little fishing here.

Kathy and Diane Wilcenski of Eau Claire, Ray Wilcenski of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Beck and family of Ladysmith, frank Wilcenski of Gilman, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Zawacki and son of Eau Claire, Mrs. James Boylan of Withee, Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski, Mrs. Aloise Wilcenski of Gilman, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lewien, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman, Mrs. Clara Ebben, Mrs. Mayme Milligan, Mrs. Hermiss Schmidt, all of Thorp, spent Sunday at the Joe Lewien home. The occasion was First Holy Communion of their daughter Christy at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Hank Lutz and family attended the confirmation of Judy and Lee Gisvold Sunday, May 7, at Stanley, St. Mary's Parish. Linda Lutz was a sponsor for Judy, and Mr. Ray Headrick of Stanley was Lee's sponsor. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smigaj attended the confirmation of their grandchildren.

Miss Lynn Paff of Minneapolis spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Paff.

Mrs. Louis Kaczor and son Bill spent Sunday at their cottage on Mead Lake. They called on Mr. and Mrs. Russell Drake and Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Kapp at their cottage on Mead Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Paff of East Lansing, Mich. Spent Sunday afternoon and evening at the John Paff home.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Marion Herman.

A baby shower for Mrs. Jerry Schimke was held at the home of Mrs. James Harycki on Monday evening. Mrs. Jeanette Morgan, Mrs. Eleanor Hofkes and Mrs. Dorothy Harycki were hostesses. Mrs. Schimke received many lovely gifts from Mrs. Robert Olson, Mrs. Dale Amundson, Mrs. Leroy Merlak, Mrs. Elvin Fleming, Mrs. David Wood, Mrs. Floyd Hanley, Miss Norma Chivarro, Mrs. Roger Hedrington, Mrs. John Frinack, Mrs. Ted Czech, Mrs. Arthur Tetzner, Mrs. James Pabich and Mrs. Mel Postier.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cook and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hampton and children spent Mother's Day evening at the Edmund Cook home.

Mr. and Mrs. Jon Kowinski and son All and Miss Stella Kowinski of Columbus spent the weekend at the Stanley Herman home, and along with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Zaucha of Antigo, also attended the funeral of Peter Kowinski in Stanley.

Mrs. Irene Kaczor and Mrs. Laura Ramberg spent Monday evening with Mrs. Ruby Verkuilen.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman and Mrs. Bertha Dudansky spent Friday with Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski in Gilman.

Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Bauer spent Sunday in Eau Claire visiting at the home of Mrs. Bauer's aunt, Mrs. Theresa Stapleton.

Mr. and Mrs. Orville Asselin of Eau Claire spent Mothers' Day with Mr. and Mrs. Layton Asselin.

Mrs. Victoria Wilcenski of Gilman and Mrs. Bertha Dudansky spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Williams in Minneapolis, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cook visited at the Jess Winkler home in Cadott on Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. William Weinberger of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thorson of Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mattes of Milwaukee spent Mothers' Day with Mrs. David Weinberger.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Possley of Whitehall spent Mothers' Day at the home of Don's mother, Mrs. Edith Possley.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Burzynski and Kevin were dinner guests on Wednesday at the Ray Rogalski home.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Zahn of New London spent the weekend at the Louis Badzinski home. Mrs. Maude Kulwiec, Mrs. Francis Kulwiec, and Miss Luverne Fenstermacher visited Mrs. C. Lebal at Hawkins Friday, and they also drove to Rice Lake.

Mr. and Mrs. John Paff and family attended the funeral of Mr. Paff's father, Herman Paff, at Chippewa Falls on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultze of Stanley, Eva Kronberg of Cumberland and Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Vanderhyden and family were guests at the Mrs. Mike Kronberg home on Sunday.

Mrs. T. Bauerfeind moved to Ladysmith, Wis., St. Joseph's on the Flambeau rest home. Many friends and neighbors have had going away parties for her in the past two weeks.

Mrs. Edmund Cook receive Mother's Day phone calls from her son Kermit and daughter Inez, and also talked to her grandson, who was home from the Great Lakes Naval Hospital.

On Sunday last, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wolters and daughter Brenda, and Mrs. Martha Castner were dinner and supper guests at the Hugo Roesler home.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zawacki and daughters of Rockford, Ill. Spent the Mothers' Day weekend in Thorp.

Jill Hampton spent last Monday afternoon at the home of her great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Cook.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bohn visited at the Theon Pagel home Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Rusch visited at the Edmund Cook home on Tuesday.

Visitors at the Frank Winiarczyk hoem on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mormon and son Craig of St. Paul.
