Glasshof, Barbara Ann (29 APR 1967)
The Thorp Methodist Church was the setting for the wedding of Barbara Bann
Glasshof and Thomas C. Rugotzke on Saturday, April 29th, 1967. Rev. Richard
Alger performed the 7:30 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Chester, Glasshof, Thorp (Clark Co.,
Wis.), and Mrs. Rachel Rugotzke, Augusta.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a cage gown of silk
organza. The dress was fashioned in Venice lace with daisy décor throughout the
empire waist gown. The cage flowed softly over the sheath gown with sleeves of
Venice lace. The train fell into a full sweep. The bouffant veil was secured by
a cluster of Chantilly lace daisies bordered with tiny seed pearls.
Her bouquet consisted of blue and white carnations.
Miss Lynda Tieman was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were: Mary Jane Rugotzke,
Gail Berendes and Sue Kocher. They all wore cage gowns of sky blue linen and
blue chiffon crescent rose headpieces with sprigs of green leaves.
David F. Rugotzke was best man and groomsmen were: Thomas Finley, Gary Ives and
Earl Nelson. Ushers were: Keith Glasshof and Arthur Alger.
A reception was held in the church parlors.
After a wedding trip to Michigan, the new couple will make their home in Eau
Claire.
