Captain Robert J. Przybylski received the Bronze Star Medal at Fort Polk, La.
April 3, 1967, at ceremonies conducted by Colonel Wm. Hunter, Commanding
Officer, 3rd Training Brigade. Captain Przybylski was decorated for
distinguishing himself by outstanding meritorious service in connection with
ground operations against a hostile fource in the Republic of Vietnam during the
period of September 1965 to August 1966. Captain Przybylski served in Vietnam in
the capacity of Battery Executive Office and Batter Commander, of a 105 Howitzer
Battery, and later in liaison officer to an infantry battalion. During his tour
he participated in more than 20 combat operations against the Viet Cong, in
which his unit was credited with many significant kills. Captain Przybylski is
presently the Commanding Officer of a Vietnam oriented Advanced Individual
Training company at Fort Polk, La., where training is being conducted to prepare
infantry riflemen for duty in Southeast Asia. Cpt. Przybylski is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ig. Przybylski of Thorp (Clark Co), Wis.
