Following graduation from Withee High School in 1917, Miss Natalie Scherf
embarked upon a career in banking, as a bookkeeper in a Tomahawk bank.
Later the same year she returned to her home community to be employed in the
Withee State Bank. From one position to another she rose to the office of
president of the Withee Bank.
Her half-century career in the banking field brought recognition last Thursday
from the Clark County Historical Society, which Miss Scherf serves as treasurer.
