Vanderhyden, Harry (14 FEB 1892 – 7 JUN 1967)
Harry Vanderhyden, 75, passed away of a heart attack on Wednesday, June 7th,
1967 at the Home of the Aged, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Thorp. Rev. Francis
Brockman officiated at the ten a.m. service on Friday, June 9th, with burial in
the parish cemetery. The American Legion conducted graveside services.
Pallbearers were: Murvil Vanderhyden, Richard Vanderhyden, Wilfred E.
Vanderhyden, Cyril Alger, Ed Alger and Gilbert Alger, all nephews of the
decease.
Mr. Vanderhyden a retired farmer, was born Feb. 14, 1892 in Holland Town, Wis.
He moved to Thorp at the age of seven with his parents, the late Gilbert and
Johanna Vanderhyden. Harry served one year and was wounded in France in World
War I in 1918.
He leaves to mourn, one brother, Wilfred g. Vanderhyden of Thorp, six nephews
and five nieces. Three sisters preceded him in death.
Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral were from
Milwaukee, Lodi, Neenah, Menasha, Eau Claire, Stanley, New Richmond, Kaukauna
and Appleton, Wis., and St. Paul, Minn.
