Burke, Margaret (10 JUN 1967)
Miss Margaret Burke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Burke, Boyd, became the
bride of William Harycki, son of Edward Harycki, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on
Saturday, June 10th, 1967, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boyd. Father Vincent
Schwartz performed the 12 noon wedding. Mrs. Howard Gilbertson sang "Paris
Angelicus" and Mother, At Your Feet We're Kneeling."
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a floor length coat ensemble
of linen styled with a sleeveless empire sheath accented with Venice lace at the
waistline. Elbow length sleeves and flat bows at the shoulders highlighted the
coat, which swept into a chapel length train. A French bow of linen enhanced
with lace appliques secured her bouffant veil of sheer illusion. She carried a
bouquet of white glomelias and stephanotis.
Miss Kathleen Burke was maid of honor, Mrs. Shirley Burmeister and Mrs. David
Jablonic were bridesmaids. They wore floor length dresses of linen in apricot,
fashioned with A-line skirts. Elbow length sleeves complemented the empire
bodice, accented with a band of Venice lace. The same lace graced the back
panel. Bustle veils were secured to bows of apricot linen for their headpieces
and each carried bouquets of white pompom's tipped with apricot.
Sylvester Harycki, was his brother's best man, and groomsmen were: Robert Burke
and Robert Badzinski. Ushers were: Patrick Burke and Frank Harycki.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church hall.
The bride graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing, Marshfield, and the
groom graduated from Stout State University, Menomonie.
After a wedding trip to Florida the new Mr. and Mrs. Harycki will be at home at
Auburndale.
