Turek, Mary (30 JUN 1892 – 5? JUL 1967)
Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Turek, 75, Gilman, were held at 10 a.m.
Saturday at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, with the Rev. Peter
Srzlescinski officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery at Gilman.
The former Mary Strzok was born in Minneapolis on June 20, 1892, and attended
school there. Her marriage to Joseph Turek took place at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.)
on May 19, 1914. After he marriage the couple made their home at Gilman.
Surviving are her husband; five sons, Theodore, Garden Prairie, Ill., Leo,
Belvidere, Ill., Edward, Gilman, Clarence, Bullhead City, Ariz., Louis, West
Bend; two daughters, Mrs. William Bruch, Skokie, Ill.; and Mrs. Edward Meyer,
Stanley; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Strzok
and Mike Strzok, both of Thorp, and three sisters, Mrs. Nick Dobrenski, Chicago,
Thorp, and Mrs. Valerie Swiontek, Thorp.
