At high noon, Saturday, August 9, the wedding of Miss Ethel Fensome and Mr.
Robert Smith, both of Loyal, was performed at the Loyal Free Methodist Church,
with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating.
The bride wore a powder blue crepe dress with matching short veil and a corsage
of red carnations.
Miss Alice Fensome, Winona Lake, Indiana, was the maid of honor.
The groom was attended by his brother, Glen Smith, of Racine. Mrs. Glen Smith
sang "Wedding Prayer" with James Miller accompanying.
Dinner was served to twenty-two relatives at the Star Lodge at noon. Guests
present were from Indiana, Racine, Walworth and Rochester, Minnesota.
A reception was held at 8 p.m. at the York town hall. Over 100 guests attended.
Out of town guests were from Racine, Walworth, Waukesha, Barron, Eau Claire,
Wisconsin Rapids, Granton, Spencer and Chili.
