Foelske, Albert J. (02 May 1888 - 02 Aug. 1969)
Services were held Monday, August 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal for
Albert J. Foelske, 81, who passed away at 1:15 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at his
home from a apparent heart attack.
The Rev.William Humlie officiated and burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
Mr. Foelske was born May 3, 1888 at Hartford. As a child he came to Spencer with
his parents who moved to a farm in the town of Beaver a short time later. He
remained on the home farm until 1945 when he moved to the city of Loyal and was
employed as custodian at the Loyal High School for 14 years. October 13, 1913 he
married the former Lena Luther at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, who survives
him.
Pallbearers were Edd Dobbe, Hugh Darton, William Seeman, Ray Ertl, Howard Sturtz,
Sr. and Arnold Stumpner.
Mrs. John A. Olsen was the organist and Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "Softly and
Tenderly" and "Abide With Me."
Mr. Foelske was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marlyn (Alleda)
Lindner, Spencer and Mrs. Lester (Velda) Wittig, Juneau, four grandchildren,
seven great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Litka, Loyal.
He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.
