West, Harvey F. Jr. (1 July 1934 - 7 September 2014)
Harvey F. West Jr., 80, of Wautoma died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014, at Berlin
hospital. He was born July 1, 1934, in Millston to Harvey F. Sr. and Amanda
(Rhodes) West. Harvey was raised in Black River Falls and graduated from high
school in 1952. Harvey married Bernadyne Olson April 27, 1957, at Hope Lutheran
Church, Wautoma. The couple continued to live and farm in the Black River Falls
area until moving to Wautoma in 1963. Harvey continued to farm and also worked
at the Walker Company until he became employed by the Waushara County Highway
Department, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed hunting, farming and spending time with
his family, especially his grandchildren.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife Bernadyne West; children, Jeff (Jan) West,
Pittsville, Roberta (Harold) Holman, Humbird, Pamela (Greg) Paugels, Wautoma,
Paula (Allen) Jenks, Wild Rose; grandchildren, Harvey, Brian, Andrew, Brent,
David, Amanda, Rachel, Erin, Sarah and Kristin; sister, Pat (Ken) Hulett, Black
River Falls; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Walter West.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at West
Holden Lutheran Church. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Barb Girod
with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet relatives
and friends at church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Harvey’s name. Leikness
Funeral Home, Wautoma, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online
