Austin, Katherine (7 February 1889 - 6 April 1973)

Graveside services were to be held Wednesday afternoon in the Town of Grant Cemetery for an area native, Miss Katherine Austin, 84, of Ft. Collins, Co., who died there April 6 The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ was to officiate. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Austin, the daughter of Charles E. and Essie (Ward) Austin, was born February 7, 1889, in Neillsville and was educated in area schools. She worked as a secretary in Washington, D. C., for many years before returning to Neillsville in 1960, where she lived before moving to Colorado several years ago.

Survivors include the following nieces and nephews: William Austin, Shawano; John Austin, Rothschild; Mrs. George Cutsforth, Springfield, Ore.; Mrs. Richard Lewis, Eau Claire; and Mrs. Clarence Campbell, North Hollywood, Ca.
