Scharrschmidt, Paul Kurt "Vinnie" (16 JUN 1950 - 15 NOV 1999)
JANESVILLE - Paul K. "Vinnie" Scharrschmidt, age 49, of 3411 West 3rd Street,
Afton, died on Monday, November 15, 1999 at Meriter Hospital, Madison.
He was born in Medford on June 16, 1950, the son of William and Ursula (Russell)
Scharrschmidt.
Paul married Christine Clark on August 19, 1980 in Brooklyn, Wisconsin. Vinnie
was a drug and alcohol counselor for both Rock and Green Counties. He was a
devoted husband, father, and friend. Vinnie loved to ride his motorcycle and
enjoyed life on life's terms. He devoted his life to the recovery of others. As
Vinnie would say,"It's just a God thing."
He was an active member of the Association Recovering Motorcyclists (A.R.M.)
Chapter 5 for seven years, holding many official positions.
Survivors include his loving wife, Christine; three children, James Clark, Paul
Ives, and Katrinna Scharrschmidt; his adoptive parents, William and Ursula
Scharrschmidt; step-father, Roland Weege; three sisters, Faith, Kim, and
Melissa; a brother, Ricky; as well as many nieces; nephews; other relatives; and
friends, including his brothers and sisters of A.R.M. and A.A.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 1999 in
the Schneider Funeral Home with Jerry Scudder officiating. Burial will follow in
Baldwin Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Schneider Funeral Home Wednesday, November 17, 1999 from
6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Vinnie died a happy and sober man for many years. God bless, we'll miss you!
