Geary, Dorothy Mae (28 DEC 1927 - 28 SEP 2014)
Dorothy Mae Geary passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Sunday,
September 28, 2014 in Stanley.
Dorothy was born on December 28, 1927 to Clarence and Mildred (Nicks) Geary in
Owen.
Dorothy was an exceptional person, gentle, “always smiling”; a loving person who
loved
people. She enjoyed being involved in her churches, Lions Club, social functions
and every activity in her home town of Curtiss. She was a tireless worker, a
“familiar face” whenever an extra hand was needed.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Betty Nenzel of Stanley, and sister-in-law,
Gerry Geary of Baraboo, plus numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great
nieces and nephews. Her family was such an important part of her life and she
loved them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bill and infant brother,
Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss with Pastor Kris A. Bjerke-Ulliman
officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Visitation
will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. prior to services at the church.
Plombon Funeral Service of Stanley is assisting
the family.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard,
but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.” (Author Unknown)
