Crement, Valoris L. (Krueger) (31 DEC 1920 - 9 OCT 2014)

Valoris L. Crement, age 93, of Abbotsford, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at the Golden LivingCenter-Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

Valoris was born on December 31, 1920, in the Town of Green Grove, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Stacke) Krueger.

She attended Woodland grade school in the Town of Green Grove and was a 1938 graduate of Owen High School. She furthered her education by attending Stevens Point Teachers College for two years. Valoris taught for one year at Park School in rural Owen and then moved to Chicago.

She married Carl Crement in 1942 in Chicago. While in Chicago, she worked in the defense plant during WWII as an inspector for several years and then worked for Travelers Insurance as an underwriter before retiring and moving to Abbotsford.

She was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss.
Valoris enjoyed reading and watching the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by her sister, Vear Dean Laabs of Abbotsford; a sister-in-law, Donna Krueger of Abbotsford; and many nieces and nephews.

Valoris is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elroy and Lester Krueger; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Krueger.

A graveside service at the Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of Mayville will be held at a later date.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
