Goehring, Otto (02 Oct 1892 - 21 July 1969)
Otto Goehring, age 76, died July 21 at 8 a.m. at the Memorial Hospital,
Neillsville from complications following a stroke.
The Rev. Conrad Michelsonofficiated at the 2 p.m. service at the United
Methodist Church at Loyal on Thursday, July 24.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
Pall bearers were Edd Dobie, Arnold Stumpner, Hugh Darton, Robert Young, Dave
Smith and Chester Smith.
Mrs. Byron Zepplin was the organist and Mrs. Conrad Michelson was the soloist.
She sang "Beneath the Cross of Jesus".
Mr. Goehring was born October 2, 1892 in Sheboygan County. He came to Loyal with
his parents as a child. They settled on a farm in the town of Beaver and he
remained on the same farm the rest of his life. December 31, 1919 he married
Manda Ystad at Greenwood.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, belonged to its Men's Club and
served on the Official Board of the Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Conrad, Loyal; Gordon, North
Bend, Oregon; and Jerrald, West Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Loraine (Kathleen)
Cook, Spencer; Mrs. Eugene (Joan) Reynolds, Tunkhanlock, Pa.; and Mrs. James
(Ruthanne) Snedic, Milwaukee; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Walter, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Floyd, Richmund, Ill.; and Dr.
Harry, St. Cloud, Minn; and four sisters, Mrs. Nettie Philpott, and Mrs. Claude
(Sara) Catlin, Loyal; Mrs. Harold(Florence) Kuethe, Spencer and Mrs. Dave Shovey,
Milwaukee.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
