Boyer, George W. (11 September 1892 - 4 May 1973)

George W. Boyer, 80, of Memorial Home, a native of the Town of Seif, died May 4. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Town of Seif Cemetery.

George Boyer, the son of David and Wilhelmina (Sievert) Boyer, was born September 11, 1892, in the Town of Seif and was educated there. He farmed on the same property throughout his lifetime and had resided at Memorial Home for the past two years. Mr. Boyer had been a member of the Seif Town board and had also served several terms on the school board. His marriage to the former Mildred Flick took place June 4, 1917, at Fairchild. Mrs. Boyer died in 1971.

Survivors include eight children: Mrs. Joseph (Adeline) Sevecal of Manitowoc, Arvid Boyer of Neillsville, mrs. Theodore (Neva) Howard of Unity, Wallace Boyer of Chili, Marvin Boyer of Neillsville, Earl Boyer of Reedsville, Ma., Mrs. Robert (Jean) Bedell of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Romaine Boyer of Neillsville. He is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Marie Dorschner of Oshkosh, Mrs. Ernest (Clara) Horn of Helenville and Mrs. Lila Begley of Cleveland, O., and by 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
