Dwyer, Ruth O. (10 October 1892 - 3 May 1973)
Funeral services were held Monday morning from the Georgas Funeral Home for Mrs.
Ruth O. Dwyer, 82, of Neillsville, who died May 3. The Rev. Nickel of the United
Methodist Church officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Dwyer, the daughter of Edwin and Ada (Carnes) Weast, was born October 10,
1890, in the Neillsville area and was educated in local schools. Her marriage to
Robert Dwyer took place June 25, 1919, at Colby. He died in 1963. She worked in
ladies dress shops during her lifetime, and entered Memorial Home about a year
ago. Mrs. Dwyer was a member of the united Methodist Church and of Golden Link
Camp No. 78, Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include two children, Mrs. Glenn (Janice) Thompson of Neillsville and
Robert Dwyer of Milwaukee; a brother, William Weast of Neillsville; and three
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Walter Kren, Gareth Bollom, W. G. Meier, Albert Smith, Heron
‘Pink’ Van Gorden and Forrest Thompson. Mrs. Robert Peters sang “in The Garden”
and “Rock of Ages.” The accompanist was Mrs. Wayne Zoutendam.
Robert Dwyer of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Dwyer, Michele and Steve, Jr.,
of Ft. Wayne, In., were among those attending the services.
