Depa, Anna M. (16 JUN 1897 – 19 JUL 1967)

Anna Mary Depa passed away on July 19, 1967, of natural causes at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. The former Ann Posda was born June 16, 1897 in Chicago. At the age of seven she moved with her family to a farm in Stanley, Wis.

On Nov. 26, 1918 she was united in marriage to Paul Depa at St. Mary's Czestochowa Parish, near Stanley, Wis., and settled on a farm in the town of Taft until 1961, when she moved to the city of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). In 1966 she moved to Chicago and lived with her children until the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn, her 6 sons and 6 daughters: Andrew and Joe of Chicago, Ill., Louie of Harwood Heights, Ill., Tony of Norridge, Ill., John of Niles, Ill., Peter of Thorp, Wis., Mrs. Ted (Marcy) Kaszubowski of Thorp, Wis., Mrs. Pete (Julie) Wiklanski of Petoskey, Mich., Mrs. Walter (Helen) Filipek of Niles, Ill., Mrs. Mike (Frances) Norks of Greenwood, Wis., Mrs. Howard (Agnes) Zielke of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph (Pauline) Andronnowith of Dayton, Ohio, and 34 grandchildren.

Also surviving are her brother, Mr. George Posda of Stanley, Wis., and sister, Mrs. Josephine Posdell of Stanley, Wis.

Preceding her in death were her husband Paul, who died in 1953, and one son that died in infancy.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Czestochowa, Stanley, Wis., on July 22, 1967 at 10 a.m., Father Ed Masalewicz of St. Hedwig's Parish of Thorp, officiating.

She was laid to rest at the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were her six sons.
