Washburn (10 May 1973)
The newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reinart, and all their entire wedding party and
attendants, also Mrs. John Reinart, Mary Sue Schultz and Kent Lonning, visited
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short after their wedding reception at the Legion Hall
Saturday evening. Last week Saturday evening visitors at the Short home were
Mrs. Helen Francis, Mrs. Harold Elmendorf, Carrie Sexton, Mr. and Mrs. Don
Stewart of Verona, the latter who spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. Short and assisted with some work. The wedding party also visited Mrs. Art
Odell at her home; also the bride’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Wilding; and
the groom’s grandmother, Mrs. Henry Hubing at Memorial Home.
The bride and groom returned home Friday from their honeymoon to Chicago, where
they visited many places of interest, visited at Milwaukee and also visited the
House on the Rocks near Dodgeville. They will make their home with the bride’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kalsow, until their new trailer home can be moved
in.
The Cannonville Ladies Aid will meet at the church Wednesday, May 16, in the
afternoon. A lunch will be served following the meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and daughter, Judy and Kent Lonning visited Mrs.
Reinart’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert, Friday evening in honor of their
56th wedding anniversary which was Saturday May 5.
Sister William of La Crosse spent Monday and Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Claude Kyle. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kyle and family were supper guests
Monday of his parents also, and they helped Mr. Kyle celebrate his 69th
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Condron and sons of Schaumburg, Ill., arrived Saturday to
spend several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., and her
brothers, Donald and Chuck Havlicek, and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz of Wind Lake and his father, Paul Schult, called on
Mrs. Art Odell Tuesday.
Ralph Short is improving from his recent illness.
Misses Lorraine, Jean and Norma Linever of Minneapolis, Mn. spent last weekend
with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lincoln.
