Ray Godke is spending a ten day leave from the Marines with his mother, Mrs.
Catherine Godke, and other relatives and friend. Ray has been on a Caribbean
Cruise with the Marines since April, and after his visit here, will return to
Camp La Juene in North Carolina.
Mrs. Amanda Hanks and Mrs. Robert Schultz of Neenah spent last Wednesday
afternoon with Mrs. Alma Johnson.
Clifford Manier is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Bart Brandt spent from Sunday until Monday at Nekoosa, where they
attended a Schmidt family reunion.
Mrs. Catherine Godke returned hom Saturday from a visit at the Jim Copenhavor
and Gill Godke homes in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and the Joe Emert home at Janesville.
Mrs. Mary Krueger of Sparta spent last Tuesday and Tuesday night with the Don
Miller's and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ulrey and Mrs. Clifford Manier were Sunday dinner guests at
the Orville Manier home.
A group of ladies attended a bridal shower for Jeanette Podolok at the Joe
Miller home last Thursday evening.
Mrs. Bill Godke and Chris of Glen Ellyn, Ill. Are visiting at the Catherine
Godke home.
Mrs. Mary Krueger of Sparta, Mrs. Don Miller visited at the Ronnie Swope home
Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Manier visited Clifford Manier at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Catherine Godke and Mrs. Bill Godke and Chris were Monday dinner guests at
the Jim Godke home in Boyd, and supper guests at the Ed Drost home.
Kenneth Swope and sons Green and Brent of Tunnel City called at the Don Miller
home Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Robert Schultz and Mrs. Amanda Hanks of Neenah called on Mrs. Carl Brandt
last Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brandt visited at the Reid Gibbs home at Wissota Sunday
afternoon. Mr. Gibbs is ill and we wish him a speedy recovery.
