Podhola, Karla Ann (2 SEP 1967)
On a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Canada are Mr. and Mrs. John Elstran,
who were married Saturday afternoon, Sept. 2nd, 1967 at two o'clock at the
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Eau Claire.
Rev. Howard Fehr officiated at the ceremony for Karla Ann Podhola, 1119 Summit
St., Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick R. Podhola, Cornell, Wis.,
and the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Elstran, 310 Olive St., Chippewa Falls.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line dress, floor length,
with bell-shaped sleeves made of linen. Embroidered lace trimmed the sleeves and
skirt and detachable train, which was fastened to the Empire waistline. A small
cabbage rose and bows with matching lace secured her bouffant veil of sheer
illusion. The bride's dress was made by her mother. The bridal bouquet was of
white stephanotis.
Mrs. Roger Podhola, Milwaukee, the matron of honor, and the bridesmaid, Mrs.
Charles Clemons, were attired in avocado green lace gowns over linen, fashioned
with Empire waistline and a floating back panel of lace and linen. Matching
headpieces fashioned of a cabbage rose on three tiers of bows fastened the
bouffant veil. Gold and rust mums were carried by the attendants.
David Elstran, California, served as best man, and Roger Podhola, Milwaukee, was
groomsman. Ushers were Charles Clemons and Lowell Thomas.
Guests were greeted at a reception at Van's Club 49, Chippewa Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Elstran will reside at 220 1/2 4th St., Eau Claire.
