Dallman, Benjamin F. (20 OCT 1903 – 6 SEP 1967)
Benjamin Franklin Dallman, 63, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), died following a
lingering illness at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1967 at the Memorial Hospital
in Neillsville, where he had been a patient the past 17 days.
Services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 9 at Immanuel United Church
of Christ, Greenwood, with the Rev. David Logue officiating. Burial was made in
the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Dallman was born Oct. 20, 1903 at Ashford, in Fond du Lac County, and later
moved to Colby, where he received his education. His marriage to Bertha Metcalf
took place June 1, 1931 at the home of her parents in the town of Reseburg,
Clark County.
After their marriage the couple lived in New London, where Mr. Dallman had been
employed by the Wis. Telephone Company for five years. They then came to the
Greenwood area, where they farmed for 34 years before moving to their present
home in the city of Greenwood in June of this year.
Mr. Dallman also was a machine operator in the town of Reseburg for 27 years.
He was a member of the Oakland School Board, Immanuel United Church of Christ at
Greenwood, Lions Club of Thorp, and served as Fire Warden.
In addition to his wife, surviving are two sons, Larry and Allan Dallman, both
of Greenwood; three brothers, William, Buffalo City, Wis.; Alvin, Oshkosh; and
Edwin, Lomira; and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dohrman, Horicon; and Mrs. Martha
David, Colby.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
