Buyatt, Alfred “Butch” (24 DEC 1923 - 18 OCT 2014)

Alfred “Butch” Buyatt, 90 of Jump River died Saturday, October 18, 2014 peacefully at his home under the care of Hope Hospice.

He was born on December 24, 1923 at home in Jump River to the late Syrvie and Alfa (Oleson) Buyatt. Butch attended area schools there and entered the Military during WWII. He was in the Marines until 1946.

After his service time he married Hilma Ilene Dickerson in Sheldon on August 12, 1946.

The couple lived in Waukesha and he was a truck driver for RoxO Beverages. Butch was a “Jack of all trades” and after driving truck the couple later moved back “home” to Jump River. Butch was the care taker at the Country Club Golf Course in Boulder Junction for a couple of years until his full retirement.

Then Butch worked at the Jump River Community Center and volunteered at the Mt. Nebo
Cemetery. He was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church-Hannibal, the V.F.W., the Jump River Lions, enjoyed fishing, was an avid deer hunter and liked watching all sports.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hilma, sons, Douglas (Dolly) Buyatt of Deerfield, William “Bink” (Chili) Buyatt of Pemberton, NJ, and Allen (Susan) Buyatt of Waukesha, seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, his sister Ardelle Hink of Big Bend.

Butch is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill, Lloyd and Clinton and sister Betty.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Jump River Community Center with Rev. Barry Boyer. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of service at the center.

Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
