Columbia (17 May 1973)
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jarems of North Lake, Il., were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Wilson Bohnhoff, returning home Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cook of
Granton and Helen Evans of Merrill were Sunday afternoon visitors of the
Bohnhoffs, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Jurkiewicz were evening visitors.
Georgeana and William Schulz visited Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen in Neillsville
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Esslinger of Weston visited Mr. and Mrs. George Mashin last
week Wednesday evening. Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. George Church of Pine
Valley visited the Mashins. Sunday evening the George Mashins and granddaughter,
Tara, visited Mr. and Mrs. Carl Esslinger.
William Sollberger, accompanied by his sister, mrs. Frieda Baumel of Eau Claire,
called on several residents at Memorial Home Sunday afternoon. They visited
Louise Ehlert, Jennie Winter, Ella Lockman and Otakar Sindelar. All are former
Columbia area residents.
Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Endel visited Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Garbisch at Eagle River
last week Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. Endel and Mrs. Garbisch are sisters.
Tony Circro of West Allis, who owns a lot here in Columbia visited Mr. and Mrs.
Norbert Endel Saturday. The Endel’s were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Bertz in Loyal.
