Aumann, Mary (23 June 1888 - 14 May 1973)
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 p.m. from St.
Mary’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Mary Aumann, 84, of Memorial Home who died May
14. The Rev. Charles D. Brady will officiate and burial will be made in the
parish cemetery. An 8:30 p.m. rosary service was held Wednesday at the Georgas
Funeral Home, where the body of Mrs. Aumann was in state.
Mrs. Aumann, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand (Theresa) Hrach, was born
June 23, 1888, in the Town of Pine Valley and was educated in schools there. Her
marriage to Charles Aumann took place May 21, 1907, in Neillsville. Mr. Aumann
died in 1938. The couple farmed in Pine Valley.
Mrs. Aumann lived on the farm with her son, Claude, for a few years, and then
went to work in Delavan. She worked as a cook and returned to Neillsville after
a few years and was employed in restaurants locally. A member of St. Mary’s
Catholic Church and of St. Jude’s Circle and an honorary member of the PCCW,
Mrs. Aumann had been a resident of Memorial Home for the past two years.
Surviving are a son, Walter Aumann of Neillsville; five grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Aumann, 84, of Memorial Home, who died May 14,
were held Thursday afternoon from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev.
Charles D. Brady, pastor, and the Rev. Leander Koopman of Greenwood officiating.
Interment was in the parish cemetery. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
Pallbearers were Marvin Aumann, Donald Aumann, Art Ackerman, Francis Hrach,
Clarence Auman and Ernest Gaden.
Those from out-of-town who attended the services were: Francis Hrach and
daughter, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aumann and family, Spencer; Walter
Aumann, Jr. and Charles, Hales Corners; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Aumann, Sussex; Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Aumann, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Aumann, Mr. and Mrs. Irban Aumann,
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ampe and daughters, Mr. and Mrs.
Marvin Anderegg and Mrs. Ed Schmidt, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. John Gaden, Nekoosa;
Mrs. Jeanette Bentzler, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Mrotek, Cadott; Mr. and Mrs.
Francis Langreck, Granton.
