Rizner, Mike #2 (24 August 1884 - 17 May 1973)

A Clark County resident since 1909, Mike Rizner, Neillsville, died may 17, at the age of 88. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiating. Interment was in the Levis Cemetery.

Born August 24, 1884, in Austria and educated there, Mr. Rizner came to the United States at the age of 18 and located in Pittsburg, Pa., where he worked in the steel mills for several years. Later, he was employed by the Kimball Piano Company in Chicago, Il., before moving to a farm in Clark County in 1909. Mr. Rizner, a member of the Western Fraternal Bohemian Lodge, retired in 1948 and moved to Neillsville in 1962. His marriage to the former Rose Kalas took place in December of 1907, in Chicago. Mrs. Rizner died July 12, 1961.

Surviving are eight children: Anton Rizner of Neillsville, Emil Rizner of Rt. 3 Neillsville, Miss Albie Rizner of Neillsville, Edward Rizner of Tomah, William Rizner of Rt. 1 Neillsville, Mrs. Bessie Meier of Rt. 1 Neillsville, George Rizner of West Allis and Frank Rizner of New Berlin. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his sons, Anton, Emil, Edward, William, George and Frank Rizner. Mrs. James Spangler was the organist.

Attending the services from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Rizner of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rizner and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rizner, Jr., of Tomah, George Rizner of West Allis, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rizner and family of New Berlin and Mr. and Mrs. George Wodower of Chicago, Il.
