Shewczyk, Patricia (5 AUG 1967)

Patricia Shewczyk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shewczyk, route 1, Lublin, Wis., and David Jankoski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayborne Jankoski, 121 Oak St., Stanley, Wis., were united in the Holy Sacrament of Matrimony on Aug. 5, 1967 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Stanley, Wis.

The Rev. Dennis Stanchik performed the 1:00 o'clock double ring ceremony before an altar banked with white gladiolas and pink carnations. During the ceremony the bride placed a bouquet of pink and white carnations on the altar of the Blessed Virgin, while Mrs. Clarence, soloist, sang "On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother." Sister Dorine served as organist.

For her wedding the bride chose a floor length gown of sheer organza over taffeta, fashioned with a semi-bouffant skirt sweeping into a chapel train. The fitted bodice was highlighted by an overlay of lace and long tapered sleeves.

Pearl edged petals of lace styled the cloche securing her bouffant veil of sheer illusion. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses, stephanotis and ivy. She was escorted to the altar by her father.

Miss Mary Ellen Olson, Medford, Wis., friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Mrs. April Rademaker, Exeland, Wis., friend of the bride, was bridesmaid.

The honor attendants wore floor length dresses. Sleeves and scoop necklines complemented the Empire bodices, accented by a band of fabric daisies. Bouffant bustle veils were secured to a petal cloche. They carried a bouquet of pastel colored carnations.

Charles Jankoski, Minneapolis, brother of the groom, was the best man. The groomsman was Norman Rademaker, Exeland, friend of the groom. The ushers were Matthew Northrup, Minneapolis, and Michael Lauer, Eau Claire, both cousins of the groom.

A dinner, reception and dance for 325 guests were held at Koolmo's Ballroom, Gilman, Wis.

The bride is a graduate of Taylor County Teachers College and is employed as a teacher in the Stanley-Boyd area schools. The groom is a graduate of Wis. State University, Eau Claire and is employed as a social worker at Northern Colony and Training School, Chippewa Falls. Following a wedding trip to Expo 67 and Niagara Falls, the couple are making their home at 795 N. Franklin, Stanley, Wis.

Guests were present for the wedding from Stanley, Lublin, Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Gilman, Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Withee, Owen, Medford, Thorp.
