Funeral services for Paul F. Zarnke, Milwaukee, a native of the Colby area, were
held Tuesday at the First United Church of Christ, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth Dix
officiated, and burial was in the Colby cemetery. Funeral arrangements were
handled by Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby. Mr. Zarnke died Saturday, April 1, at
Milwaukee of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 63 years old.
Paul Zarnke was born March 23, 1904, in the town of Hull. He attended Colby area
schools and farmed in the town of Hull until 1941. He spent one year in the
state of Washington, and had lived and worked since then with a brother-in-law,
John Murphy, in Milwaukee. He never married.
Survivors are two brothers, William of Stratford, and Otto, of Milwaukee, and
eight sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ella) Unger, Owen, Mrs. Stuben (Irma) Rauch,
Kirkland, Wash., Mrs. Bertha Farmer, Mrs. John (Helen) Murphy, Mrs. Harry (Olga)
Green, Mrs. Everett (Lillian) Gumm, Mrs. Earl (Leona) Williams and Mrs. Arlene
Kimmel, all of the Milwaukee area.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
