The wedding of Miss Frances Mae Orlikowski and Dennis John Pecher took place
Saturday, April 8, in St. Anthony’s Catholic church, Athens. Parents of the
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Orlikowski, route 2, Athens and Mrs. Ervin Jacobi
of route 1, Athens, and the late John Pecher.
The bride wore a gown of white nylon sheer over taffeta with fabric roses. Her
veil of bridal illusion was held by a headpiece of white roses, and she carried
a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis.
Attending the bride were Mrs. Donald Pecher, Athens, sister of the bride, maid
of honor; and Kathleen and Molly Orlikowski, Athens, sisters of the bride.
Ushers were Clement Pecher, Marshfield, and Alex Orlikowski Jr., Athens.
The bride’s attendants wore light and dark blue sheath dresses of nylon sheer
over taffeta and carried white mums and pompons.
About 272 guests were present for the reception, dinner and dance at the Rib
River Ballroom following the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Athens high school, and is now employed at Marathon
Cheese Corp., Marathon. The groom is an Abbotsford high school graduate who
recently completed a four-year tour of duty with the marines and is now
attending Wausau technical institute. The couple will be making their home in
Abbotsford.
