------ Frane, Mary Jane (15 APR 1967)
Miss Mary Jane Frane of Hartford, daughter of Mrs. Lila Frane of Colby and the
late Alvin Frane, and David LeRoy Erikson, also of Hartford, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Bror Erikson of Curtiss, were united in marriage Saturday, April 15. The Rev.
Donald Zerkle witnessed their exchange of promises in a double ring ceremony at
10:30 in the morning at St. Killian’s Catholic church, Hartford.
Attending them were their brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Erikson, also
of Hartford.
The bride was attired in a street length dress of white lace over taffeta with
long lace sleeves. A taffeta bow accented the waist line of the bell-shaped
skirt. Her shoulder length bouffant veil was secured to a crown of crystals and
aurora borealis. She carried a cascade bouquet of red and white roses with ivy
and lily of the valley and satin and lace streamers.
Her matron of honor was attired in a street length dress of pink chiffon over
taffeta with a lace jacket. Her headpiece was made with a crown like the bride’s
and a small circular pink veil. A heart-shaped arrangement of pink roses with
white net and pink ribbons completed her ensemble.
In the evening, the new Mr. and Mrs. Erikson greeted friends and relatives at a
wedding reception and were honored at a wedding shower at Cherokee hall. About
150 were in attendance, who came from Colby, Abbotsford, Curtiss, Owen, Edgar,
Wausau, Genoa City and Woodstock, Ill.
Both the bride and groom attended Colby schools.
The groom is employed at West Bend Co., West Bend, Wis., and they are making
their home in Hartford.
