Two infants were baptized Sunday afternoon at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. Emil Hodnik officiating, Theodore Michael Hoffman, son of Cpl. and Mrs. Kurt Hoffman, and Margaret Rose Janda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Janda of Abbotsford.

Theodore Hoffman of Milwaukee and Mrs. Art Feind of Rochester, Minn., paternal uncle and aunt of Theodore Michael, were his sponsors with Miss Sally Hug of Appleton, maternal aunt, being proxy at the ceremony.

Sponsors for Margaret Rose were her paternal aunt, Mrs. Paul Steffes, of Milwaukee and uncle, John Larsen, of Laramie, Wyo., with Father Anthony, O.F.M. of Marathon, serving as proxy for Mr. Larsen.

To celebrate the occasion of the baptism of their grand son, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman of Abbotsford were hosts at dinner. Present were Cpl. and Mrs. Kurt Hoffman and son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norma Hug and Sally of Appleton. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hoffman of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Art Feind and two daughters of Rochester, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hoffman and family of rural Dorchester.

After the baptismal ceremony, guests at the Janda home were Father Anthony, the Rev. Emil Hodnik, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Janda and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Steffes and five children of Milwaukee.
