Miss Pauline Emilie Theilig, rural Colby, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at
the Bethel convalescent home in Arpin at the age of 93.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Green
Grove. The Rev. Arthur Rasch officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Luffoff Funeral Home, Colby.
Miss Theilig was born January 7, 1874, in Milwaukee. She came with her parents
to Colby township at the age of two, and lived her entire life there until
moving to the convalescent home at Arpin five years ago. She never married. Miss
Theilig was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran church and its ladies aid society.
Surviving are three nephews, Oscar Erdman, Walter Theilig, William Theilig, and
five nieces, Mrs. Eugene (Elsie) Johnson, Mrs. Arthur (Esther) Fakes, Mrs.
William (Erna) Uhlig, Mrs. Art (Alvina) Theime and Mrs. Alex (Clara) Winkel.
Miss Theilig was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters.
