Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church in Unity
for Mrs. Fannie Elena Boyer, 72, who died unexpectedly Saturday morning at her
home in the town of Brighton.
The Rev. Robert Sutherland, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, officiated at the
services and at the burial, which was made in the town of Brighton cemetery. The
body had been in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, until the time of the
services.
The former Fannie Josephson was born in Finland Nov. 29, 1894. At 10 years of
age she came to America with her parents and had spent her entire life in the
Unity area. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church and the LCW at
Trinity.
She was married to William Manley, who died in 1927, and her second husband,
Howard Boyer, died in 1958.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Edith) O’Brien of Marshfield and
Mrs. James (Lila) O’Brien of Loyal, and three sons, Charles Boyer of Elgin,
Ill., Harold Boyer and Lester Boyer, of Unity. There are 17 grand children and
28 great grand children. A sister, Mrs. Fred Mooney of Rhinelander, also
survives.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother.
