Mrs. Dimple Christie, 78, Riplinger, a former Abbotsford resident died of a
heart ailment Sunday, June 4, at 11:50 a.m. at Memorial hospital, Neillsville,
where she was a patient for three days.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home,
Greenwood, with the Rev. Carl Booher, pastor of Grace Methodist church,
officiating. Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery.
The former Dimple Westphal was born December 8, 1888, in Neillsville. She was
married to Elmer Stafford and they were the parents of six children. Her second
marriage was to Phil Christie who preceded her in death.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Edith) Churkey of Owen, Mrs.
Arnold (Leona) Mueller, Loyal, and Mrs. James (Bethel) Stevens, Savannah, Ga.;
three sons, John Stafford, Greenwood, Earl Stafford, Unity, and Lyle Stafford,
Kenosha; a sister Mrs. Helmuth Seims, Port Edwards; a brother , Claude Westphal,
Neillsville; 14 grand children and 16 great grand children.
