Mr. Casey Jaron and Mr. Harry Lencz attended the Democratic dinner at Milwaukee last Sunday. The main speaker was Ted Kennedy, Senator of Massachusetts.

Ed Budrus, Florian Liesieski, Casey Legowski and Mike Lencz attended the Twins-Angels game at the Minneapolis ballpark last Monday.

Harry Lencz is serving this session of jury duty at Medford.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Sebunia and children attended the wedding of Mr. Robert Haizel to Miss Connie Boyajian at Milwaukee last Saturday. Miss Barbara Sebunia was a member of the bridal party. Mrs. Irene Jasinski attended to the Sebunia place of business during their absence.

Mr. Donald Sweda arrived from Chicago to spend a few days with relatives and friends before returning to his place of employment.

A farewell party was held for Donald Cwikla on Sept. 23rd at Maplehurst. Donald, an enlistee of the armed forces, left for induction on Sept. 26th. Donald is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cwikla.

Several residents attended the Stanley-Gilman football game where the new lights and electric scoreboard were seen by some for the first time. Stanley swamped Gilman 32 – 0.

The thermometer dipped into the 40's last Tuesday.
