Krause, Fred W. (10 SEP 1887 – 30 SEP 1967)
Fred W. Krause, 80, 1112 Harriet St., Fort Atkinson, died in Fort Atkinson
Memorial Hospital Saturday afternoon, after a short illness.
He was born in Fort Atkinson Sept. 10, 1887, and was married to Edna Koch, Thorp
(Clark Co.), Wis., May 28, 1913, in Thorp.
He operated a dairy farm in the area for many years. After retiring and moving
to Fort Atkinson in 1951, he sold insurance for the Helenville and Midland
Mutual Insurance Companies. Active in the area, hew as a member of St. Paul's
Lutheran Church and former church councilman, member of the Lakeview Cemetery
Board, former Koshkonong Township Chairman, former member of the Blackhawk
School Board and he had served as Jefferson County Committeeman for the
agricultural short course, from which he had graduated.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Timothy and Frederick, Rt. 3; six
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Frank Cole, Rt. 3.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
Fort Atkinson, with burial in Lakeview Cemetery.
