Pietenpol, Floyd (28 April 1888 - 10 April 1973)

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Granton United Methodist Church for Floyd Pietenpol, 85, of Rt. 1 Granton, who was dead on arrival Sunday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Melvin Nickel was to officiate and burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery. The Gilbertson Funeral Home at Granton was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pietenpol was born April 28, 1888, in the Town of York where he framed until his retirement in 1939. After retiring, he continued to live there. His marriage to the former Laura Neitzel took place September 14, 1915, at Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant. The couple observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1965.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Letha) Ganther of Rt. 1 Granton, and Mrs. Elaine Walters of Marshfield; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Kidd of Castro Valley, Ca., Mrs. Hattie Clause of Amarillo, Tx., and Mrs. John Salzer of Wausau; and three grandchildren.


Pallbearers were: William Naedler, Sr., Emil Henninger, Vern Bender, William Naedler, Jr., Marvin Naedler and Roger Tyler.
