Smith, Carolyn Sandra (Marriage - 23 June 1973)

Carolyn Sandra Smith became the bride of Arnold Fred Wesenberg in ceremonies performed Saturday, June 23, at 2:30 p.m. in Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, by the Rev. Roland Roehrs. A reception was held in the church hall. Earl W. Chubb, Rt. 1 Granton, gave his daughter in marriage to the son of Mrs. Vera Wesenberg of Rt. 2 Granton.

The bride appeared in a bouffant gown of rayon organza and Chantilly lace styled with a ruffle-tiered skit ending in a chapel train. Sequin trim accented the high neckline and cuffs. Her cluster headpiece held a bouffant veil. She carried a cascade bouquet with red and white carnations.

Mrs. Doris M. Flor, Rt. 1 Granton, was the matron of honor and Mrs. Nancy A. Kumm, Pittsville, was the bridesmaid. Their empire style gowns of white flocked Dacron over white satin were trimmed with red lace. Headpieces and shoes matched the trim. Cascades arrangements of red and white carnations completed their ensembles.

Dennis Rollins, Rt. 2 Spencer, served as bestman. Groomsman was Dan Rayburn, Pittsville. Norman Wesenberg and Jerry Chubb shared ushering duties.

Mrs. Jeanette Steiner was the organist and Mrs. Beverly Helm and Mrs. Caroline Helm were vocalists.

Following their return from a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park, the newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 2 Granton.
